The state Department of Agriculture reported the following closing prices Wednesday:

U.S. No 1 HARD RED WINTER WHEAT: .01 to .21 higher. 8.38-8.93.

Davis 8.38, Shattuck 8.51, Frederick, Lawton 8.53, Manchester 8.62, Temple 8.63, Alva, Buffalo, Cherokee, Medford, Ponca City 8.66, Perry, Stillwater 8.67, Banner, Clinton, Hobart, Keyes, Okeene 8.73, Hooker 8.75, Eldorado, El Reno, Okarche 8.91, Geary, Watonga, Weatherford 8.93, Gulf 9.68.

MILO: steady. 12.23-13.28.

Alva, Buffalo, Manchester, Ponca City, Weatherford 12.23, Medford 12.39, Shattuck 12.41, Keyes 13.21, Hooker 13.28.

SOYBEANS: .03 lower. 13.47-13.84.

CORN: steady. 7.15-8.00.

CANOLA (CWT): 21.34-21.48.

Blackwell, Dacoma 21.34, Apache 21.38, Hillsdale 21.48, Clyde 21.44, Enid, El Reno, Yukon.

Grade 41, Leaf 4, Staple 34 Cotton in southwestern Oklahoma averaged 66.75 cents per pound.

EGGS: Large 1.51; medium 1.21; small 1.02.

Oklahoma livestock

The state Department of Agriculture reported the following prices Wednesday at the Oklahoma City Stockyards:

Receipts: 6,892; week ago: 5,972; year ago: 6,914.

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 1-4 higher. Feeder heifers 2-5 higher. Steer and heifer calves 4-10 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle and calves. Demand especially good for lighter weight calves as farmers looking to spend less dollars per head. Quality average to attractive and improved from the past several weeks. Supply includes several thin, long weaned calves. Receipts consisted of 52 percent over 600 lbs; 36 percent heifers.
