For more OU stories.

Who is the Big 12's first-team quarterback?

Four weeks ago, it appeared that the race for the Big 12's first-team quarterback was a runaway with then-Heisman frontrunner Collin Klein, especially with Geno Smith's troubles beginning and Landry Jones' up-and-down play. Jones has now put things together late in his senior season, which could sway some votes his direction. Who gets the award at season's end? Does Jones' late-season push give him a chance to overtake Klein? How important is this week's performance from both players? It's an interesting side note to the Oklahoma-TCU and Texas-Kansas State games.

Wearing down

Oklahoma will play for the ninth consecutive Saturday following a pair of September bye weeks. It's the second time in four seasons that the Sooners haven't had a bye week in the tail end of their schedule. In 2009, OU played nine straight Saturdays through the regular season's end. What to watch for this Saturday: how much energy will the team play with after two emotion-charged victories over West Virginia and Oklahoma State?

No overlooking TCU

There's been so much talk about Oklahoma's chances for a Big 12 championship or an opportunity to play in a BCS Bowl game. What remains important to remember is that these opportunities will not come to fruition without a victory over TCU on Saturday morning. It's Senior Day for a TCU team that's played in big, meaningful games late in the season. It'll also be an emotion-packed game for the Horned Frogs, who will be trying to beat Baylor, Texas and Oklahoma in the same season.
