Friday, Saturday: Football finals

Jenks tries for its first Class 6A football championship since 2007 when it faces Norman North at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

On Saturday, East Central goes for the Class 5A championship against Carl Albert at 7:30 p.m. at Boone Pickens Stadium.

Friday: Oilers

The Tulsa Oilers take on Allen at 7:35 p.m. at the BOK Center. The Oilers have lost five straight games. Tulsa plays again at the BOK Center at 4:05 p.m. Sunday against Arizona. After Sunday's game, fans can skate with the players on the Winterfest ice rink. Tickets range from $13 to $43 and are available at tulsaworld.com/oilers

Friday-Sunday: Winterfest, Festival of Trees

Winterfest will be outside the BOK Center through Jan. 6. Attractions include an outdoor skating rink, carriage rides and visits from "Segway Santa." Admission is $5-$10.

Festival of Trees runs through Dec. 9 at Philbrook Museum of Art, 2727 S. Rockford Road, featuring decorated trees and gingerbread villages. The trees and gingerbread structures will be available for purchase, along with holiday pins and ornaments at the museum shop. General admission is $11.

Friday, Saturday: 'A Christmas Story'

"A Christmas Story" is at the Tulsa PAC's Liddy Doenges Theatre.

This production features all the elements of the 1983 comedy movie, based on stories from Jean Shepherd's book, "In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash."

Performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday and 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

Friday, Saturday: Parades

The Festival of Lights Christmas Parade takes place in downtown Sand Springs at 7 p.m. Friday. Among this event's 100-plus themed entries are lighted displays, decorated floats, marching bands and Santa.

Broken Arrow's Civitan Christmas Parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Broken Arrow. Marching bands, floats and walking groups will be part of this parade. The theme of this year's parade is "A Star Spangled Christmas."

Friday-Sunday: Craft fairs

Get in the Christmas spirit at the Tulsa Herb Society's Carols & Crumpets on Saturday. Shop for the holidays and get decorating ideas and tips. The event will be from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tulsa Garden Center, 2435 S. Peoria Ave. Admission is free.

And Christkindlmarkt, the arts and crafts and food fair at the German American Society, runs Friday-Sunday at the German American Society, west of Lewis Avenue on 15th Street. The fair features gifts, chocolates, baked goods and fresh food. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free.

Saturday: Reba McEntire

Sooner-bred country superstar Reba McEntire is to perform at 8 p.m. Saturday at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, 777 W. Cherokee St., Catoosa.

The show quickly sold out, with the intimate venue seating about 2,700 people. All patrons must be at least 21 years old.

McEntire's career spans more than 40 years, 56 million album sales and 64 Billboard Top 10 hits. She has released 26 studio albums since 1977. She also led a successful situation comedy titled "Reba," the No. 1-rated sitcom for six years on two networks.

Saturday: TU football

Tulsa faces Central Florida at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chapman Stadium in the Conference USA championship game. The game will be televised by ESPN2. It's a rematch of a game played two weeks ago that Tulsa won 23-21. Tickets range from $15 to $50 and are available at tulsaworld.com/tusports.
