One person dead in fire near Choctaw

CHOCTAW – Oklahoma County Sheriff John Whetsel said authorities have not released the name of the victim of the fire Friday morning.
“We're waiting on confirmation of the identity,” Whetsel said. “We've notified family members and are expecting to release some information soon.”
Whetsel said the apartment complex is south of the Choctaw city limits in an unincorporated part of the county. The sheriff's office will continue the investigation, he said.
