Oklahoma County judge sentences woman to 35 years in prison for role in child abuse

OKLAHOMA CITY - A judge on Friday sentenced a woman to 35 years in prison for her role in the abuse of a child left in her care, saying the woman stood by while her husband beat the 1-year-old boy and didn't report the abuse.
“You knew, you were present and you still don't take responsibility,” Oklahoma County District Judge Cindy Truong told Elsa Solis.
Solis pleaded guilty in September to a charge of enabling child abuse.
Her now ex-husband, Gabriel Brian Solis, 31, of Del City, faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced by Truong.
