Evans, who committed to Oklahoma this week, has returned a kick for a touchdown in all three of the Timberwolves' playoff games. All of those games were close and the kick returns were key plays. He returned a kickoff 83 yards for a TD against Southmoore, scored on a 90-yard punt return against Broken Arrow, and scored on a 72-yard kickoff return against Owasso. He is averaging 43 yards on 14 kickoff returns this season. His kick returns consistently gave Norman North good field position against Owasso. Jenks linebacker Kent Clark, who is on the kick-coverage team, said about Evans: "We've got to make sure our bullets get down there. Special teams are always a big factor." Special teams can set the tone as in the 2009 state title game when Union returned the opening kickoff for a TD and later returned another kickoff for a TD that was too much for Jenks to recover from in a 52-19 loss.
