Tulsa takes first win over Utah Valley
Taleya Mayberry scored a career-high 32 points and Tiffani Couisnard picked up her fourth double-double of the year to lead Tulsa 80-53 over Utah Valley on Thursday at the Reynolds Center.
TU moved to 1-5 on the season, while UVU fell to 1-6 overall.
Mayberry went 11-for-17 from the field, including 4-of-5 from behind the arc, and hit 6-of-7 free throws.
Couisnard tied a career-best with 20 points and added 14 rebounds. Loren McDaniel scored 12 points with eight rebounds, while Jessica McQuin added seven points and Kadan Brady had five.
Tulsa will return to action at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Nebraska-Omaha.
