Letter to the Editor: Go TU!

My wife and I attended the UCF-Tulsa game recently and it was a wonderful time - weather was perfect, not a cloud in the sky, breeze blowing gently and the home team WON! The only problem we found with the game was where were the fans on such a perfect day for football? The game had an 11 a.m. kick-off and one could still get home in ample time to watch the other games on TV.
We attended the Rice game earlier in the season and it was quite the barnburner that the UCF game was, but not many saw it as the stadium was only at about one-half to two-thirds capacity. This Saturday TU plays UCF for the conference title near the corner of 11th Street and Harvard Avenue. It would be nice for the city's football fans to fill the stands.
