An teenager was killed late Friday night when he apparently lost control of the truck he was driving in Kingfisher County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports.

Lee Thomas Brueggen, 18, was driving a 2006 Chevy pickup truck east on East/West County Road, a dirt road, a few miles north of Okarche around midnight when he drove over an elevated part of the road and lost control, according to OHP.

The truck rolled over three times, ejecting the driver, and then caught fire. Brueggen died at the scene from massive injuries and was transported to Sanders Funeral Home in Kingfisher.

According to the highway patrol’s report, Brueggen was not wearing a seat belt. His condition at the time of the crash is under investigation, but troopers believe he was driving at an unsafe speed on a dirt road.
