Open Meeting, Records law seminar set for Thursday at TTC

The Oklahoma Press Association, the Oklahoma Newspaper Foundation and the state Attorney General's Office will lead a free public workshop on the state Open Records and Open Meeting acts on Thursday in Tulsa.
The session will be from 1 to 4 p.m. at Tulsa Technology Center-Riverside Campus, 801 E. 91st St. Registration is not required to attend.
The seminar is designed to answer questions concerning the state's open meeting and records laws and inform elected or appointed officials about their responsibility under the acts.
Assistant Attorney General and General Counsel Jan Preslar and the attorney general's Communications Director Diane Clay are scheduled to attend.
Attorneys can receive three continuing legal education credits from the Oklahoma Bar Association for attending the seminar. Superintendents, school board members and technology center board members can also earn continuing education credits for attending.
