No. 8 Rogers State couldn't hold onto a lead that grew to 21 points in the first half as Northwest Missouri State came back to claim a 71-68 victory over the Hillcats inside the Claremore Expo.
The Hillcats' Leah Smith was unable to connect on a corner 3-pointer with a Bearcat bearing down on her and one second remaining in the game, as Northwest gave RSU its second loss of the season.
Ariani Silva scored a team-high 17 points for RSU (7-2). Smith added 14 points, but had just two in the second half.
