Steve's Sundry, Books and Magazines, 2612 S. Harvard Ave., will host a book signing for Oklahoma native Ray Kenneth Clark, for his self-published memoir, "Just Let Me Walk Away."

The event will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Clark served two tours of duty as a combat helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War, and his book recounts the adventures, triumphs and tragedies of himself and his comrades.

Catherine Zoller will be at Steve's from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday to sign copies of her self-published children's book, "Rhyme & Reason: Exodus," part of a continuing series that recounts biblical stories in verse suitable for young readers.

A new book by baseball Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan will be a bit of a sizzler.

The game's all-time strikeout king is also a longtime Texas rancher and has compiled dozens of his favorite recipes for "The Nolan Ryan Beef Cookbook." Little, Brown and Co. announced Monday that the book is scheduled for May 2014.

The 65-year-old Ryan also plans to work in a few baseball stories, from his years pitching for the New York Mets, California Angels and other teams to his current job as CEO and president of the Texas Rangers. His previous books include the memoirs "Miracle Man" and "Throwing Heat."
