Regarding: "Is this a plan?" (Nov. 21) by William Dusenberry, giving reasons why the posting of the Ten Commandments on the Oklahoma Capitol grounds is ridiculous: 1. Not historical and is a myth. 2. No one knows who wrote this biblical account. 3. "All of the Commandments need amendments, clarifications and interpretations.''
We'd need lawyers to tell us what these Ten Commandments mean, and legislation to make them into laws. Therefore as posted they are useless.
He also states: "Without 'coveting,' capitalism would collapse." Apparently his summing up for our free enterprise system is a longing to possess what belongs to another.
A suggestion to him is to attend any fifth-grade Sunday school class, Christian or Jewish, and get the basics and then move on to some advanced apologetics study.
