Filings for school board begin

The filing period for school board candidates in 14 Tulsa County school districts and Tulsa Technology Center District 18 began Monday.
Applications must be submitted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday or Wednesday at the Tulsa County Election Board office, 555 N. Denver Ave.
The election is Feb. 12. If no candidate receives more than half the votes, the two candidates with the most votes will meet in a second election April 2.
Monday's filings were as follows:
- F. Darren Francisco and Doc Geiger, Berryhill; Ron Schnare, Bixby; Wendell Johnson, Collinsville; Melissa Abdo, Jenks; Brad Post, Liberty; Gail Ballinger, Owasso; Rusty Gunn, Sand Springs; Mike Mullins, Skiatook; and Heather McAdams, Union, all Office 2, five-year terms.
- Ken Neal and Elizabeth Ellison, Tulsa Technology Center, District 18 Zone 4, seven-year term.
No one filed Monday for Tulsa Public Schools Election Districts 2 or 3, four-year terms; Glenpool, Office 2, four-year unexpired term or Office 3, five-year term; Keystone, Office 2, three-year term; or Broken Arrow or Sperry, Office 3, five year terms.
