A man accused of sexually abusing his neighbor’s young daughters was arrested after their mother called the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office on Monday.

Edward Ray Morris, 55, is being held on two complaints of child sexual abuse after the former conviction of a felony, jail records show.

The mother of two girls, ages 8 and 10, said her children came home “very upset and did not want to tell her why,” according to Morris’ arrest report.

The girls later told her that Morris, who lives near Oklahoma 51 and 169th West Avenue, had touched them under their clothes, the deputy wrote. Morris’ bond is set at $100,000.

He pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of liquor in 1996. A three-year sentence ordered in the case was suspended without supervision, court records show.
