Off-duty police officer and another person killed in crash in Logan County

OKLAHOMA CITY - An Oklahoma City police spokesman has arrived at the scene of a double fatality crash that claimed the life of a police officer Wednesday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper Betsy Randolph said a woman was driving a high performance sports car at a high rate of speed about 2:40 a.m. northbound on Western Avenue when she lost control and the car overturned.

The woman and the police officer in the car were not ejected but were dead at the scene.

Oklahoma City police officers arrived and escorted the medical examiner's agents who took the bodies to the office in Oklahoma City.
