One in custody after body found in Pottawatomie County

ASHER — Authorities are investigating a suspected homicide after a person was found dead Thursday in Pottawatomie County.
Sheriff Michael Booth said the victim was found in a rural area of southern Pottawatomie County early Thursday. The sheriff tells Oklahoma City television station KOCO that the case is being investigated as a possible kidnapping and homicide.
Authorities said they've detained a suspect who was found a few miles away from where the body was located. The suspect, whose name hasn't been released, is being booked into the Pottawatomie County jail.
The victim's name has not yet been released.
