ORU women force 30 turnovers, cruise

The Oral Roberts University women's basketball team was a defensive force on Wednesday afternoon, pummeling Evangel University, 96-34, at the Mabee Center.
ORU held the Crusaders (2-4) to 20.9 percent shooting and forced 30 turnovers in the win.
Kevi Luper led the Eagles (3-3) with 22 points and eight steals, while Jaci Bigham tallied her fifth career double-double with 17 points and 11 assists.
Two Eagles set career highs, with Christian Key scoring 15 and Sarah Shelton adding 14.
The Golden Eagles shot 62.7 percent and knocked down 9-of-16 (56.3 percent) 3-pointers, season-highs in both categories.
Led by Luper's eight thefts, ORU forced a season-high 18 steals. Jaci Bigham matched a career high with seven steals, and Savanna Buck add a pair.
The Golden Eagles next game will be at 6 p.m. Dec. 12 at third-ranked and defending national champion Baylor.
