Tulsa-based Precision Fitting and Gauge Co. is buying local natural gas instrument firm Flow Measurement Co., the companies announced Thursday.
Precision Fitting and Gauge, which was started in 1976, is a distributor of valves, fittings, meters and other instrumentation for the natural gas industry. Flow Measurement, also based in Tulsa, provides equipment and services to producers, gatherers and gas transportation companies.
“Flow Measurement is a respected, longtime leader in their niche, and it’s a natural fit for the services we provide,” Precision founder and Vice President Jeff Spanier said.
The Precision and Flow Measurement teams will work together. Precision has distribution locations in Oklahoma City, Ponca City, Coffeyville, Amarillo and in New Mexico.
“Jeff Spanier is a respected, long-time friend and he runs a tremendous business,” Charlie McNamara, founder and president of Flow Measurement, said. “It’s going to be great for our talented employees and for the loyal customers that depend on the services we provide.”
Tulsa-based Acquisition Advisors represented McNamara in the sale.
