A Skiatook woman died as the result of a two-car crash on U.S. 75 in Tulsa County on Friday.

Margie F. Ward, 62, died after her 2000 Ford SUV collided with another vehicle while traveling north just past 96th Street North at 3:43 p.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Ward’s vehicle was in the outside lane when it swerved into the inside lane and collided with a 2012 Mercedes sedan. The sedan left the roadway before it swerved back right and struck Ward’s vehicle, forcing both off the right side of the road, troopers said.

Ward’s vehicle rolled 2 1/2 times. She was pinned inside the vehicle for 45 minutes and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

A 9-year-old passenger was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries and was released, troopers said. No other injuries were reported.

Both drivers and the passenger were wearing seatbelts, troopers said.
