When asked about Tulsa's first snow chances of the season, National Weather Service meteorologist Joe Sellers sounded skeptical.

"It's not zero," Sellers said. "But it's pretty close."

Tulsa has less than a 20 percent chance of snow after 9 p.m. Sunday, which would be the first snowfall of the season, Sellers said.

Other areas of the state also have snow chances on Sunday night, including Oklahoma City, which currently has a 20 percent chance forecast, according to the weather service.

Showers are forecast instead of chances of snow for some areas of the state Sunday night, including Bartlesville, which has a 20 percent chance of rain.

Tulsa is expected to record less than 0.1 of an inch of precipitation today, after a light drizzle and fog hit the area this morning. Patchy fog is expected to clear before noon today.

Tulsa's temperatures, which started December with 70s before dipping into the 60s this week, are expected to continue to fall with a cold front this weekend. Overnight lows are forecast to be as low as the teens on Monday night, with daily highs in the upper 30s and mid-40s through Wednesday, when highs are expected to return to the 50s.

Tulsa's highest temperature so far this month was 77 degrees Dec. 1. The lowest was 31 degrees Wednesday.

Tulsa also recorded 0.05 of an inch of rain Monday, which is the only rainfall recorded so far this month.
