Cowgirls rout Ladyjacks

STILLWATER - Toni Young scored 20 points and added 12 rebounds to help Oklahoma State remain unbeaten with an 85-41 win over Stephen F. Austin.

Liz Donohoe also had a double-double with 15 points and a team-leading 14 rebounds. Lindsey Keller scored 16 points. Morgan Toben came off the bench and scored 10.

The game was close at the start, with six lead changes in the early minutes of the game.

The Ladyjacks led 8-7 at 12:57, but the Cowgirls took control on a 20-0 run and led 35-14 at halftime.

Reserve Brittney Matthew scored 11 points and Kali Jerrell had 10 for the Ladyjacks (4-4), who shot 25.5 percent and were outrebounded 49-27.

Former Edison standout Antionette Carter led the team with four rebounds.

The Cowgirls (7-0) shot 46 percent from the field for the game.

Oklahoma State plays next in a home contest at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 16 against Vermont.

The 10 days between games will be the Cowgirls' longest layoff of the season.
