1. NBA: L.A. Lakers at Oklahoma City, ESPN cable 25 and FSOK cable 27, 8:30 p.m. Friday: The Thunder gets its first opportunity this season to show the one-time-great Lakers who is the true power in the Western Conference.
2. NFL: Houston at New England, ESPN cable 25, 7:30 p.m. Monday: The longstanding-AFC-power Patriots host this season's threat to their dominance in the upstart Texans.
3. College football: Army vs. Navy, KOTV channel 6, 2 p.m. Saturday: The timeless and quintessential college football rivalry.
