For U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe, the United Nations global warming conference that ended Friday in Doha, Qatar, was not about climate change.
It was about money.
Integral to Inhofe’s assertion that climate change theory is a “hoax” is his belief that it is being used to funnel money from wealthier nations, including the United States, to poorer ones. In a video recorded for climate change theory opponents at the Doha conference, Inhofe referred to a “United Nations Green Slush Fund” and says: “The focus of this year’s global warming conference – like all the conferences before – is not the environment. It’s about one thing: spreading the wealth around.”
The "Green Slush Fund" is a fund set up by the U.N., ostensibly to help poorer countries become more climate-friendly, but critics such as Inhofe claim that is more or less a scam.
