66ers fall at Rio Grande

The Tulsa 66ers lost to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 99-87 in NBA Development League action in Hidalgo, Texas on Thursday.
Highlight: Trailing 58-43 with just under 10 minutes left in the third quarter, the 66ers (3-2) went on a 21-3 run to grab the lead.
Keys: The Vipers (2-3) started and finished the game strong. Rio Grande Valley took a 33-19 lead in the first quarter and controlled the remainder of the half. After trading the lead through much of the second half, Rio Grande Valley closed on an 11-0 run to seal the victory.
Notes: Oklahoma City Thunder assignment Jeremy Lamb scored 22 points. He has averaged 26 in three games for the 66ers. ... Tulsa guard Dominique Sutton collected 22 points and 10 rebounds and three steals. ... Tulsa forced 18 turnovers, including nine off of steals.
Up next: Tulsa and Rio Grande Valley face off in rematches twice this weekend, this time at the SpiritBank Event Center in Bixby. The 66ers host the Vipers on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
