A Tulsa man was arrested on a complaint of human trafficking during a prostitution sting late Thursday.

Police apprehended Tarran Arnell Brinson, 23, after a 15-year-old allegedly met with an undercover officer for sex at the Super 8 motel, 6616 E. Archer St., according to Brinson’s arrest report.

An officer arranged to meet the girl through backpage.com, a public website for posting free classified ads, police said.

While the officer was inside the motel room with the girl, a second officer conducting surveillance saw a black GMC Yukon Denali drive by the room twice, the report states.

The girl received a text message warning her that police were outside the room while the Denali was in the parking lot, police said.

Hotel staff confirmed Brinson rented the room.

Officers later found a key to the room in Brinson’s pocket and marijuana in his sock, according to the report.

Brinson is being held at the Tulsa Jail in lieu of $100,250.
