A burglar threatened a Tulsa couple in their bedroom after gaining access to a guarded and gated community early Friday.
Tulsa police responded to the 6300 block of South Yorktown Avenue at 12:55 a.m.
A man and woman at the residence told officers that a man with his face obscured and wearing a hooded sweatshirt entered their bedroom and told them not to look at him, police said.
He reportedly threatened the woman with a knife.
The man said it felt like the burglar held a gun to his head, but he didn’t see a firearm during the burglary, Cpl. Chris Bauer said.
The burglar asked the couple where their valuables were and stole an iPad, cell phones and jewelry, Bauer said.
A security guard said a suspicious-looking man was pacing in front of the complex about 30 minutes before the burglary.
