Donald Lee Taylor, 82 years old, was lost by family and friends on December 2, 2012, in Foley AL. Don was born in Brushy Mountain, Oklahoma on August 5, 1930. He was married to his beloved wife of 62 wonderful years, Mary Jo, his children, son Donald Joe of Tulsa, daughter Katona of Tulsa, and son Jack and wife Peggy of Foley, Al. He was a Navy Veteran, later retired from American Airlines. He spent over 45 years in the automobile industry. In his past time he enjoyed flying, NASCAR racing and working outside in his yard. He is survived by his wife and children, granddaughter Nikole Taylor Holcomb, husband Matt Holcomb, great-grandchildren Taylor and Jett Holcomb of Bixby, Oklahoma, his sisters Patricia White of Ft Myers, FL and Jane Bradley of Burnside KY, and nephew and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Derwood “Bud’ and Norma Risenhoover Taylor, niece Pamela White and nephew Tony Ray Griffin. Services will be on Saturday, December 8, 2012, at 1 PM, under the direction of Hershman Nichols Funeral Home, Wagoner, Oklahoma. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 12/7/2012.
