The Tulsa Park and Recreation Board this week approved a change in the days of the week Biscuit Acres Dog Park will be open.
The dog park had been scheduled to close for maintenance three days a week beginning in November and four days a week beginning in January.
"It was closed more days in the winter than in the summer to allow the grass to regrow. Now the park is closed for maintenance on Monday and Tuesday," said Joe Robberson with the Tulsa Parks.
"Hopefully, that is going to be a year-round situation."
The hours of operation remain the same - 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The city's other dog park, Joe Station, is open seven days a week. Its hours of operations are 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Joe Station has lights.
Joe Station, the city's first dog park, is in Newblock Park at 2279 Charles Page Blvd.
Biscuit Acres is in Hunter Park at 5804 E. 91st St.
