A teenager who was wanted by authorities in connection with a Missouri homicide was arrested Saturday.

Marcus Stephens, 16, was taken into custody Saturday, jail records show.

Stephens, who had been sought for his role in a July 6 homicide in Joplin, was thought to be in the Tulsa area, according to Tulsa police.

Stephens also had multiple Tulsa County warrants prior to his arrest.

Daniel Dewayne Hartman, 17, was charged in July with first-degree murder in the death of Jacob Wages, 23, of Joplin, authorities said.

Jasper County, Mo., authorities alleged that Hartman shot Wages after breaking into his home in Joplin.

Three suspects, including Stephens, are accused of participating in the burglary. The group is accused by prosecutors of stealing an assault rifle and the contents of a safe.

Johnathan Taylor, 19, of Joplin and Cody Stephens, 20, of Parsons, Kan., have since been apprehended in Missouri and later pleaded to charges of second-degree murder.
