Bill Goods, the starting fullback for one of Tulsa's best seasons in 1964, lost his fight with cancer on Thursday. As a member of the '64 team that went 9-2 and won the Bluebonnet Bowl - along with legendary quarterback Jerry Rhome and receiver Howard Twilley - Goods was inducted into the TU Hall of Fame.
Goods had played for Mount Royal College in Calgary, Alberta, before going to TU. Goods was drafted by the Calgary Stampeders when he graduated from Tulsa and spent a number of years in the CFL.
