Letter to the Editor: Tripe

It certainly was "Her Opinion" (Reba Wright, Nov. 27) but it was the Tulsa World's decision to run the scurrilous letter comparing President Obama to the anti-Christ that raised my hackles. Also, who were the "sources" for the "third term" comment?
I don't believe your editors would have printed a racial slur, so why is a religious slur deemed appropriate? I'm sorry to say that this kind of tripe is more likely to be found on the Internet - not in a respectable newspaper.
Did it slip through because of someone's political bias or was it just another case of underestimating the harm of social propaganda? We all know the effect of both and would be better off without these types of attacks altogether.
It is time to change the narrative and tell our government to solve problems.
Let's pay our share, take care of those who need our help, stop policing the world and return to the time when respect for others was a cultural norm.
