What I don't understand about all the hoopla on Rep. Mike Ritze, R-Broken Arrow, placing a Ten Commandments monument on government property, is why he didn't just place it on the property of the church he attends. Was he afraid that he would offend his fellow churchgoers? Or, that it just wouldn't be a large enough public display of how big a Christian that he is? Did I miss the part where Jesus Christ advocated civil disobedience?
If the religious right wants to put up monuments, how about, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?" Also, "pull the beam from your eye before worrying about the mote in your neighbor's eye."
If you want to lead people to Christ, you have to lead by example. The Christian faith isn't, "Do as I say, not as I do."
