Jim Vaughnley Ingold went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 23, 2012. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, August 6, 1930, to Rebecca Bryant Ingold and William Ingold. Jim attended High School in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and had a love for drag racing. He served in the Navy during the Korean War, from 1950 – 1954. Jim’s marriage to Joyce Mason in 1963 resulted in the birth of four daughters, Rebecca Hunsperger of Broken Arrow, Elizabeth Clanton of Norman, OK, Joy Ingold, and Cathy Poland of Tulsa. Joyce Ingold died in 1976. In 1980 Jim married Sue Kiss and became “Dad” to Sue’s two sons, Steve Kiss of Enid and Eric Kiss of Broken Arrow. Upon retiring after many years as a purchasing agent for Slagle Manufacturing, Jim continued to work as a local sales representative for two Hous- ton Companies. As a sideline, he enjoyed transporting vehicles for various new car dealerships; delivering and/or picking up vehicles from in and out of state. Jim loved his church and tinkering on cars and trucks. He always kept an old pick-up truck to improve and spent countless hours helping Sue prepare Wednesday night meals for Forest Ridge Baptist Church. Jim was quick to confirm that people he met were prepared to meet the Lord and freely shared the Gospel through his love for others. He is survived by his wife, Sue Ingold of the home, brother Alfred Ingold, twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by daughter Joy Ingold and brother Francis Ingold. Jim was dearly loved by both friends and family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. This obituary was published in the Tulsa World on 12/9/2012.
