Kenneth Calvin Carter, 85, died Sunday, December 9, 2012. Kenneth was born February 4, 1927, to Robert L and Myrtle Queen (Crew) Carter, Baltimore, MD. Kenneth lost his eyesight at an early age, but lived and worked independently for most of his life. He was proud of his home and yard, everyone said it was the showplace of the neighborhood. He never let his disability get in the way. He worked for the City of Baltimore for many years doing street maintenance. Kenneth is survived by his children, Ruth Ann Lemme, Dundalk, MD, Bonnie Hammond, her husband, David, Inola, OK, Patty Ann Gordon, her husband, Bill, Norfolk, VA, Cindy Lou Taylor, her life partner, Priscilla Chavarria. Also survived by his son: Kenneth Charles Carter, Chattanooga, TN, 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank his loving care givers, Penny and Jerry DeShong. He will be missed by his special God Grandson, Little Joe Kranz and his unconditional loving canine companion, “Macy”. Macy is lost without his buddy. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, 2 daughters: Joann Wilcox and Diane Lynn Moore, and his brothers and sisters. Kenneth’s life will be celebrated in Fork, Maryland, Saturday, December 15, 2012, 10 am, at Fork Christian Church, interment will follow at the Fork Cemetery.
