Robbery suspect arrested

A man suspected of committing an armed robbery at a Tulsa business was arrested Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Steven Lind Cole, 53, was arrested in the 1600 block of East 34th Street in connection with an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon at a Check-N-Go located at 4963 S. Union Ave., Tulsa police announced in a press release.

According to police, a man entered the business Wednesday armed with a handgun and approached the clerk. The suspect demanded money and the clerk complied. After receiving the money the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle, police said.

Robbery detectives developed information that led them to Cole, and he was arrested shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday, according to police.
