Man reportedly shot by girlfriend last week dies of injuries

Police are investigating the death of a man who was apparently shot by his girlfriend and died 10 days later.
On Dec. 1, a woman called police and said that she had just shot her boyfriend, Robert Braggs, said homicide Sgt. Dave Walker.
She told police that Braggs had assaulted her, Walker said. The incident occurred in the 200 block of East Newton Place.
The woman was interviewed by detectives as Braggs was taken to the hospital and into surgery. Police released the woman after she gave her statement.
Braggs, 47, died Monday evening from wounds received during the shooting, Walker said.
The case is being investigated by the homicide unit, which will submit its findings to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to determine whether charges will be filed, Walker said.
The woman's name was not released Thursday.
This is the 44th homicide of 2012.
