Jenks Public Schools has increased police presence at every school site in response to today's deadly shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.

In a memo to all Jenks school administrators, the district urged staff members to be "extremely vigilant in following our established safety policies and procedures. Additionally, there will be an increased police presence at our campuses."

"Remember, if you see something, say something. As always our first priority is the safety of our students, staff and patrons," it read.

As many as 27 people are confirmed dead, including 18 children, after a shooter opened fire Friday morning at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn.
