How will the Oral Roberts women's basketball team do in a new conference?
A measuring stick game arrives Friday night.
ORU will play on the road against Louisiana Tech.
Louisiana Tech isn't in ORU's new league, the Southland Conference. But, earlier this week, the Lady Techsters played a home game against the team which was projected to win the Southland Conference.
What happened? Louisiana Tech held McNeese State without a field goal over the final six minutes and escaped with a 52-50 victory.
ORU's goal, of course, is to beat Louisiana Tech. But the Golden Eagles should leave Ruston with an idea if they are comparable to McNeese State.
ORU defeated Louisiana Tech 92-71 at the Mabee Center last season. It was the Golden Eagles' only victory in series history. The teams will be facing each other for only the second time since 1985 and ORU will play a road game against Louisiana Tech for the first time since 1984.
