Joseph J. “Joe” Smith of Quapaw, OK passed away, Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Heartland Plaza in Miami, OK. He was 89. He owned the Bank of Quapaw for many years where he was the President and Janitor. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Miami. The Rev. Furan Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery of Miami. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 7:30 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.
