A Grove woman and a Sapulpa woman were killed in separate vehicle crashes on Friday and Saturday.
Dead are Frankie Jean Smith, 65, of Grove and Carolyn Krawetzke, 55, of Sapulpa.
Smith was a passenger in a 1999 Mitsubishi Spyder driven by Donald Smith, 67, also of Grove.
Troopers said the westbound car entered the eastbound lane of U.S. Scenic Highway 412 in Mayes County on a curve about a mile east of Locust Grove and collided with a 1995 Chevrolet pickup about 4:45 p.m. It was raining at the time, the OHP reported.
Frankie Smith was pronounced dead at the scene. Donald Smith had head and internal injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa in fair condition, troopers said.
The pickup driver, Ronald Merrel, 61, of Locust Grove, had internal and arm injuries and was taken to the same hospital, troopers said. His condition was not available.
Troopers attributed the collision to unsafe speed on a wet road.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt except Donald Smith, who was ejected from the sports car, the OHP reported.
Krawetzke was killed and two others were injured Saturday in a two-vehicle wreck in Tulsa County.
Taylor Rooks, 20, of Sapulpa, was traveling east in a 2008 Mazda on Oklahoma 97 when the sedan collided with a northbound 1984 Ford SUV driven by Dennis Krawetzke, 62, of Sapulpa, at the intersection of 61st Street South about 8:37 a.m., OHP said.
Troopers said Rooks' car failed to yield to at a stop sign and was struck by Krawetzke's SUV.
Rooks was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where she was treated and later released.
Dennis Krawetzke was admitted to St. Francis for observation, troopers said.
Rooks was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, troopers reported. The Krawetzkes were not wearing seatbelts, OHP said.
