Police are looking for a man accused of repeated sexual abuse after he failed to appear in court this month.

James Leonard Woodcock, 44, was named the Tulsa Police Department's most wanted fugitive of the week.

Woodcock was charged with five counts of child sexual abuse in June. Authorities believe Woodcock began abusing the girl in 2006 when the child was 6 years old and that the abuse continued until May, according to court filings.

Woodcock was bound over for trial during a preliminary hearing Oct. 29. An additional count of child sexual abuse was added to his charges after that hearing, court records show.

His wife, 54-year-old Jennifer "Jenni" Louise Woodcock, is charged with permitting child sexual abuse and failure to report child sexual abuse, filings show.

She is confined in the Tulsa Jail, records show.

James Woodcock is described as a white male, 5 feet 5 inches tall and about 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Woodcock or any crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS (2677).

Tips can also be submitted online at tulsaworld.com/crimestoppers. Or they can be sent via text message by sending "TPD918" followed by the tip to CRIMES (274637).

Tipsters may remain anonymous and tips that lead to arrest and conviction could be eligible for a reward.
