There is a serious social injustice going on in our world today. Child soldiers are being used in numerous conflicts around the world. One country in particular that has it really bad is Uganda. The Lord's Resistance Army is a rebel group in Uganda using children soldiers. The group's goal is to overthrow the Ugandan government. The leader of the group is Joseph Kony. The members of this group kidnap kids and force them into a life as a soldier.
I don't think this is right. No one has the right to take a child from his own home and force them into slavery and war. Kids aren't meant for war. They deserve to have a peaceful childhood free of stress and conflict. We are all God's children and we should treat each other like it. No one has the right over another person.
The worst thing is that most people don't even know about it. If we can spread the word, we can help stop this injustice. There are excellent organizations out there fighting against child soldiers. Some of these organizations are Invisible Children, Amnesty International, World Vision, and Child Soldier Relief. Even if you cannot get involved, you can still donate to any of these groups. Every penny helps when it comes to fighting child soldiers.
