Two men are in custody after leading Sand Springs and Tulsa police on a vehicle chase Monday evening.

The pursuit began after the driver drove away without paying for gas at a Kum & Go at 230 S. Adams Road in Sand Springs about 8:35 p.m., Sand Springs Deputy Police Chief Mike Carter said.

During the roughly 10-mile chase, the fleeing vehicle reached speeds of 100 mph before it crashed into a Tulsa police car near 41st street and St. Louis Avenue just before 9 p.m., Carter said.

Two men who are accused of being the driver and a passenger were arrested in the area minutes later, he said. Their names had not been released Tuesday night.

A 40-year-old Tulsa police officer involved in the collision was taken to a hospital in good condition, EMSA spokeswoman Kelli Bruer said. The officer's name was not released Tuesday night.
