Home sales tend to hibernate during the colder months, but Tulsa’s transactions barely nudged downward in November.
Approximately 951 homes changed hands last month, according to figures from the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors. That’s 5.5 percent below October’s sales, but 26 percent ahead of sales in November 2011.
That makes November 2012 the second-best November for the Tulsa-area since 2008, bested only by 1,070 sold in November 2009.
The year-to-date total now stands at 10,840, or 15.7 percent ahead of last year. This total is the third-highest in the last five years, and nearly matches the 10,884 for the first 11 months of 2009. The eleven-month tally for 2008 was the highest at 11,294.
