NORMAN - Aaryn Ellenberg scored 27 points and Nicole Griffin added 18 as No. 18 Oklahoma found its favorite outside and inside targets often while cruising by UC Riverside 70-46 Thursday.
"We really wanted to attack the paint early on," OU head coach Sherri Coale said. "We got (Ellenberg) some open looks because they were concerned about (Nicole) in the paint. And then when she knocks down 3s - then you have an opening and you're able to feed and get looks close to the basket. The two complement one another."
Oklahoma (9-2) held UC Riverside (6-4) to season-low scoring, but made just 30 percent of its shots in the first half and kept the Highlanders within reach.
After halftime, Ellenberg made back-to-back 3-pointers and Joanna McFarland and Morgan Hook added two more as OU generated a seven-minute long, 14-0 scoring run to pull away.
McFarland had five points and a season-high 12 rebounds, her sixth straight game with at least nine boards. Hook added eight points and a season-high six assists.
Tre'Shonti Nottingham led UC Riverside with 14 points.
