2 Tulsa women, BA man arrested on meth charges in traffic stop

Two Tulsa women and a Broken Arrow man were arrested after reportedly carrying methamphetamine in a vehicle with a 2-year-old child in it.
Emily Lira, 22, Darrin Townsend, 43, and Aimee Martin, 39, were booked into the Tulsa Jail on Sunday on complaints of possession of controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia and endeavoring to manufacture complaints, jail records show.
Lira is also being held on complaints of driving under a suspended license, altering a license plate, failing to provide vehicle insurance and child restraint violations.
Tulsa County sheriff's deputies stopped Lira's blue Dodge Neon at 9:51 p.m. Saturday in the 3300 block of East Pine Street, an arrest report indicated.
A records check revealed Lira was driving under a suspended license, had no vehicle insurance and several Tulsa County warrants out for her arrest, the report said.
Deputies also noticed a 2-year-old in the back seat unrestrained in a child safety seat, according to the report.
During a search of the vehicle, police found a black bag with cut straws, a glass smoking pipe and multiple small baggies featuring traces of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, the report said.
Authorities also discovered an eyeglass container with a used glass smoking pipe along with pseudoephedrine and recently purchased ice packs, the report indicated.
All three remain in the Tulsa Jail.
