Troopers release more information on fatal collision near Muskogee

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has released more details about a fatal head-on collision on Saturday.
Lesley Turay, 46, of Tulsa was driving a 2001 Cadillac Deville on Oklahoma 16 one mile west of Muskogee about 10 p.m. when it collided with a 1997 GMC Yukon driven by 23-year-old Sothea McConnell, troopers reported.
Turay was pronounced dead at the scene. McConnell was flown to St. John Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
An updated collision report released Monday indicates the westbound Yukon veered left of center and struck Turay’s car head-on. Troopers at the scene allege McConnell smelled of alcohol.
