Tulsa police seek leads in fatal shooting

Tulsa police are searching for leads in a fatal shooting.

Shawn Banks, 20, was found dead outside of an apartment at the Towne Square Apartments, 1607 E. Young Place, at 1:15 a.m. Monday, said Sgt. Dave Walker of the Tulsa Police Department's homicide unit. Officers had responded to a report of shots fired at the complex around 12:50 a.m.

Investigators canvassed the area Monday morning but have been unable to establish a possible motive and suspect description, Walker said.

The victim is the 46th person slain in Tulsa this year.

Tulsa man stabbed repeatedly by robbers

A man was admitted to a hospital after being stabbed in the torso multiple times early Monday.

The victim, 22, told police he was sitting in his vehicle outside an apartment complex near 23rd Street and Garnett Road when three men demanded his wallet and stabbed him, said Sgt. Lance Eberle.

The victim arrived at St. Francis Hospital around 12:45 a.m. with several stab wounds to his torso, Eberle said. The man's medical condition was not immediately available.

The robbers were traveling in a gray van with Texas license plates, the victim told police.
