A Tulsa man was arrested early Monday on accusations that he assaulted a man with a flashlight at a local QuikTrip.
Adam Wayne Curry, 40, was booked in the Tulsa Jail on assault with a dangerous weapon complaint, jail records show.
Officers were called to the QuikTrip at 519 N. Sheridan Road about 7 a.m. for a disturbance, police said.
The victim told police that Curry approached him as he was pumping gas and stated, "You owe me money."
When the man replied, "I don't know you," Curry then struck him in the head with a flashlight, according to an arrest report.
The victim was treated for head injuries by EMSA at the scene, the report said.
In interviews with detectives after he was taken into custody, Curry said he was attempting to recover tools that his girlfriend may have sold the man, the report indicated.
